3 Pink Harquahala Marble Stone Rough Rocks for Cabbing
These 3 Harquahala Marble rough rock chunks weigh a total of 16.4 lbs. and are shown wet in the first 3 pictures.
Named after its location - the Harquahala (har-ka-hay-la) Mountains in Arizona. In Native American that means Little Water, very appropriate very this dry desert location! This lustrous pink marble with beautiful green marbling, is a metamorphosed limestone. A granular rock composed of crystalline calcite grains, it was most likely formed by water working its way through beds of limestone. The green is an Epidote.
Marble is found all over the world in many different colors and patterns. The colors are due to impurities present when the rock was changing -clay, sand, iron oxide, etc. Marble is highly prized for its inexhaustible supply and often used in buildings.
You will get these 3 lapidary rough rock pieces, however I do have more of this material available in quantity-please contact us if you are interested in purchasing more. There is a 20 pound minimum order.
