Arizona Chrysocolla Malachite Sterling Silver Necklace

The deep sky blue of Chrysocolla, a copper silicate, blends well with the rich green of Malachite, a copper carbonate. This material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits. Arizona is the leading copper producing state.

Stone is from the Bagdad Copper Mine in Arizona. It is set in a Sterling Silver setting (stamped).

Cab is a freeform oval 18 mm by 15 mm. Overall length of the pendant is about 1.25 inches.

Chrysocolla is known as a healing stone among Native American Indian cultures where it was used for strengthening the body's resistance and bringing about calm feelings where there is upset.

Chrysocolla is named from the Greek chrysos - "gold" and kolla - "glue" in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold. Malachite is is named for the Greek word for "mallow", a green herb.

Metaphysical Properties: Chrysocolla is associated with serenity, tranquility, peace, patience, tolerance, acceptance, uncondional love, meditation, calmness, hope gentleness and sensitivity. Malachite is said to assist you in changing situations. A great soothing combination!
