African Chrysocolla Malachite Polished Decorator Rock

This is lovely polished piece of Chrysocolla Malachite. It is "rough" polished almost completely, except one corner is natural Chrysocolla (shown in second picture).

This material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits. This piece came out of the Katanga Mine, in the Congo, Africa.

Piece is triangular shaped-4 inches long by 3 inches wide, and almost 2 inches high. This material is very fragile and tends to leave behind little blue chips, please handle in carefully.

Chrysocolla is named from the Greek chrysos - "gold" and kolla - "glue" in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold. Malachite is is named for the Greek word for "mallow", a green herb.

Metaphysical Properties: Chrysocolla is associated with serenity, tranquility, peace, patience, tolerance, acceptance, uncondional love, meditation, calmness, hope gentleness and sensitivity. Malachite is said to assist you in changing situations. A great soothing combination!
