This listing is for ONE wonderful strand of blue Chrysocolla, and green Malachite 16 mm (about 5/8 inch) round beads. The material is from the Bagdad Copper mine in Arizona.

The beads are unstrung and ready for you to make your own necklace! The strands are aout 16 inches long. I have 8 strands and I will choose yours for you.

These materials are copper ores and Chrysocolla is often found together with Malachite. Chrysocolla is known as a healing stone among Native American Indian cultures where it was used for strengthening the body's resistance and bringing about calm feelings where there is upset.

Chrysocolla is named from the Greek chrysos - "gold" and kolla - "glue" in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold. Malachite is is named for the Greek word for "mallow", a green herb.
