Celestite is a favorite among mineral collectors. Its sky blue (or celestial) color is very pretty, and it is unique in the mineral kingdom. This piece came from Madagascar. It is a mineral consisting of strontium sulfate. The mineral is also known as celestine.

Egg is more than 2.5 inches or 68 mm high and about 1.75 inches wide.
