Tiny African Green Malachite 1.5 inch Stone Egg Rock

Lovely! I love this traditional dark green banded Malachite material! The material came from the Katanga Mine area in the Congo, Africa.

Malachite is a copper carbonate. It has a hardness between 3.5 and 4. It crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system, and most often forms botryoidal, fibrous, or stalagmitic masses. This material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits.

This stone's name is from the Greek, malache, - "mallow" in reference to its green leaf color.

This tiny eggs about 1.5 inch in height.

Metaphysical Properties: Malachite is a very protective stone, being especially helpful for general protection, protection from evil, protection during pregnancy and childbirth, and protection for children.
