Chrysocolla Malachite Polished Decorator Rock

This is a lovely polished piece of blue Chrysocolla and green Malachite. It is polished on top and in front, and part way on the back. Half of the back and the bottom are left rough.

This material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits. This piece came out of the Bagdad Copper Mine, Arizona.

This gorgeous unique piece is about 6 inches long by 2 inches wide and stands 2.5 inches tall. It weighs 1.32 lbs.

Chrysocolla is named from the Greek chrysos - "gold" and kolla - "glue" in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold. Malachite is is named for the Greek word for "mallow", a green herb.

Metaphysical Properties: Chrysocolla is associated with serenity, tranquility, peace, patience, tolerance, acceptance, uncondional love, meditation, calmness, hope gentleness and sensitivity. Malachite is said to assist you in changing situations. A great soothing combination!
