Natural Brazilian Agate Drusy Crystal 2 inch Egg Rock

This is an all natural deep, luminous, brown Agate from Brazil with a natural crystal vug. The cyrstals are also deep brown, and very sparkly! A very fine piece.

Many agates are hollow, since deposition has not proceeded far enough to fill the cavity, and in such cases the last deposit commonly consists of quartz crystals directed towards the free space so as to form a crystal-lined cavity, or geode. A layer of very fine crystals is known as "Drusy". Often the Drusy will be the color of the mineral underneath.

Egg is a little less than 2 inches in height, drusy vug or pocket covers most of the size of the egg and almost .75 inch deep. Crystals are a little weathered but still sparkling. The white spot in the picture at the bottom of the drusy pocket is a small ding.
