Green Mineral Specimen Sphene from Brazil Stone Rock

Beautiful avacado green Sphene mineral crystal from Minas Gerais, Brazil. This specimen is 47 mm or 1.75 inches long, by 28 mm or more than 1 inch wide, and 23 mm or almost 1 inch thick.

Sphene is named from the greek word for wedge, because of its typical wedge shaped crystal habit. It is also alternatively called titanite for its titanium content.

Sphene can form nice crystals and can make a lovely addition to the collection of a collector who appreciates different crystal forms.
