Brazilian Agate Drusy 2.25 inch Sphere Decorator Rock

A beautiful hand-cut sphere with a natural crystal pocket. It is 2.25 inches in diameter.

Natural brown and gray Brazilian Agate, with an open pocket of small, beautiful, sparkling Drusy crystals. Crystals are brown, with some black spots.

Many agates are hollow, since deposition has not proceeded far enough to fill the cavity, and in such cases the last deposit commonly consists of quartz crystals directed towards the free space so as to form a crystal-lined cavity, or geode. A layer of very fine crystals is known as "Drusy". Often the Drusy will be the color of the mineral underneath.

Pocket is more than 1.25 inch by 1 inch and about 1.5 inch deep.
