Maw Sit Sit Slab Rough Rock Gemstone

A lot of rough Maw Sit Sit. Maw Sit Sit is a rare green gemstone that has dark green to black veining; it sometimes has white spots. Maw-sit-sit has a hardness of 6.

This stone is found near jadeite, in fact jadeite is a component, but there is some controversy on whether it can be called Jade.

Although its exact composition is still unknown, Maw-sit-sit is composed of chromite, ureyite, chrome jadeite, symplektite, chrome amphibole, and other lighter minerals.

The 13 pieces are shown wet in the first two pictures and the lot weighs 13 lbs. This is what we call commercial material. It is not high grade vibrant green, but is still a pretty bright green color with both white and/or black inclusions.
