Celestite Blue Crystal 2.25 inch Stone Sphere Decorator Rock Gorgeous! Celestite is a favorite among mineral collectors. Its sky blue (or celestial) color is very pretty, and it is unique in the mineral kingdom. This piece came from Madagascar. It is a mineral consisting of strontium sulfate. The mineral is also known as celestine. Celestite occurs as crystals, and also in compact massive and fibrous forms. It is mostly found in sedimentary rocks. This sphere is pale in color but has some large crystal blades. Theer is some damage to the crystals (the one on the left in the first picture has lost its point!). The back is solid rough Celestite and it has "flat" spots so the sphere sits by itself without a stand. It is about 2.25 inches or 54 mm in diameter. Metaphysical properties: Celestite is said to be an angelic stone. It can connect you to all aspects of the angelic realm, and to angels themselves. It is said that celestite was given powers by angels to raise consciousness, and to bring guidance from the angels.
