Beautiful pink Rhodonite from Madagascar! This lovely freeform cabochon is for the creative jeweler or wirewrapper and is 36 mm long by 14 mm at its widest and 4 mm thick.

This stone gets its name from the Greek word for its rose color. It is a manganese metasilicate with a hardness of 5.5 to 6.5. Rhodonite was once used to make service platters in Russia and was often given as a gift during royal czarist weddings.
