Rare Arizona Pietersite 4 inch Stone Sphere Decorator Rock!

This is an awesome, hand cut and about 4 inches in diameter, RARE Pietersite sphere.

This material is known as Tigereye too but Pietersite is a name given to high grade Tigereye.  It is named that because of its chaytoyant cat's eye effect. It is actually avacado green Serpentine with Chrysotile fibers. The fibers run mostly around the middle and gives it the gold flash! There is also black Augite.

This material was produced when water from magmas changed igneous rocks. It comes from Arizona.
