Beautiful purple, natural Fluorite crystal mineral specimen from Illinois.

Fluorite is a calcium fluoride crystal with a hardness of 4. It can be found in a wide range of colors, sometimes in multiple colors. It is named after its composition containing fluorine (Latin, fluere = "to flow"). During the 19th century, fluorite was mined in England for its ornamental value.

This mineral specimen is 3 inches by 2 inches and 2 inches at its thickest.
