Chrysocolla Stone Egg

Beautiful sky blue Chrysocolla, a copper silicate. This material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits. Arizona is the leading copper producing state. The material comes from the Bagdad Copper Mine in Arizona. This mine has depleted their oxide zone and no more material will be found there!

The egg is hand-cut and 2.25 inches or 56 mm in height. It has a natural drusy (or druse) vug or pocket and some small natural surface fractures.

Chrysocolla is known as a healing stone among Native American Indian cultures where it was used for strengthening the body's resistance and bringing about calm feelings where there is upset.

Metaphysical properties: Chrysocolla is a stone of peace, increased wisdom, discretion. It promotes level headedness, encouraging clarity of thought and a neutral, cool attitude during turbulence. It can be used to decrease nervousness and irritability.
