Black Magnetite & Gold Pyrite Rock Stone Sphere

Wow! Spots of shiny gold Pyrite (fool's gold!) in a black Magnetite. This material is also known as Healer's Gold. It comes from the Chino Copper MIne in New Mexico.

Magnetite was named for Magnes, a Greek shepherd, who discovered the mineral on Mt, Ida. He noted that the nails of his shoe and the iron ferrule of his staff clung to a rock.

This sphere is 3.25 inches or 84 mm in diameter. It weighs more than 2 lbs. This one has some great chatoyancy to it-like silver light flashes!

Metaphysical Properties: Referred to as "Healer's Gold" in the metaphysical world, it is believed this stone renews your energy!
