Angelite Polished Stone Rock

Lovely steel gray/blue Angelite from Peru. Angelite is the common name for Anhydrite. It is a sedimentary mineral that forms in massive rock layers. It is the form of calcium sulphate containing no water in its crystal structure.

The name 'angelite' comes from the Greek 'anhydras' meaning 'without water'.

This beautiful piece is a thick slab-polished on one face and natural rough around the edges. It is more than 5 inches by 2.5 inches and 1 inch thick. It does stand on its edge.

Metaphysical Properties: Angelite is said to bring serenity, inner peace, and a sense of calm.
