Natural Brazilian Agate Drusy Crystal Egg Rock

This is an all natural deep, luminous, gray Agate from Brazil with a natural crystal vug. The cyrstals are also gray with brown tinge and black dots, and sparkly! A very fine piece.

Many agates are hollow, since deposition has not proceeded far enough to fill the cavity, and in such cases the last deposit commonly consists of quartz crystals directed towards the free space so as to form a crystal-lined cavity, or geode. A layer of very fine crystals is known as "Drusy or Druse". Often the Drusy will be the color of the mineral underneath.

This egg is not quite 2.25 inches or 54 mm in height.
