Azurite Malachite Mineral Specimen Stone Rock Crystal

Azurite and Malachie are both copper carbonate hydroxide mineral. Azurite, named from the Arabic word for its azure blue color, usually forms first and then changes to Malachite, when there is a higher percentage of water present. Malachite's name is from the Greek, malache, - "mallow" in reference to its green leaf color.

Metaphysical properties: Azurite is said to stimulate one's intellect, creativity, self-confidence & love. Malachite is a very protective stone, being especially helpful for general protection, protection from evil, protection during pregnancy and childbirth, and protection for children. It is also an excellent protection stone during flying and other travel.

This piece has rich royal blue, Azurite crystals and green Malachite underneath, on a orangey matrix rock. The specimen came from Morenci, Arizona.

The piece is almost 3 inches long by 2.25 inches deep, and about 2 inches tall.
