Petrified Wood Stone Bead Pendant Fossil

It is Petrified Wood from Northern Arizona.

Tree trunks were buried under several hundred yards of sediment. Over the course of time the wood was replaced by cryptocrystalline quartz, largely chalcedony and jasper. During the replacement process by silica carried in underground waters, even the most minute details of the woody structure was preserved.

This material is approximately 85 million years old. Some logs as long as 213 feet have been found in the Northern Arizona Petrified Forest.

Metaphysical Properties: Petrified Wood is a stone of patience and slow and steady growth.

This beautiful piece is polished all the way around (it is flat on one side-domed on the other) and drilled with a 3.75 mm hole side to side near the top. It can be strung on a wire or cord or incorporated into your own bead creation! It is 43.5 mm long by 27 mm wide and 8.5 mm thick.
