Coyamito Agate Stone Gemstone Designer Cabochon Gorgeous Coyamito Agate from Mexico! Coyamito comes from about 30 miles north of the famous Laguna Agate area in Chihuahua, Northern Mexico and is well known for its vibrant colors of red, yellows, blues, and pinks! It is found in multiple deposits on the Coyamito Ranch, hence the name! The Coyamito agate deposit <>> produces more pseudomorphs than any other agate location. It comes mostly in small nodules. Agate is a member of the chalcedony family, or a microcrystalline quartz, and it has a hardness of about 7 on the Moh's scale. The name is derived from its occurrence at the Achates River in southwestern Sicily. Metaphysical properties: In general Agates are said to be stabilizing and strengthening.
