Hummingbird Fluorite Animal Carving Rock Stone
WOW! This stunning Fluorite hummingbird stone carving by Peter Muller is 4 inches tall overall, the bird is about 2.5 inches long, the Lucite base is slightly more than 2 inches by 2.5 inches.
The body is banded Fluorite. It has a purple body and blue head, and white wings and tail (carved from a separate crystal). Fluorite is a calcium fluoride crystal. It can be found in a wide range of colors, sometimes in multiple colors. It is named after its composition containing fluorine (Latin, fluere = "to flow").
The bird is sitting on a quartz rock with natural green tourmaline crystals. Tourmaline is a crystal boron silicate mineral and comes in a variety of colors. The beak is carved from Carnelian.
The bird is shipped separated from the base. The base has 2 small holes and the bird has post on its feet. You will need to mount the post into the holes.
The Bird is enlightenment, perspective, swiftness, vision, and knowledge of the future. Every U.S. state has an official bird, as do all of Canada’s provinces, Australia’s states and Japan’s prefectures.
