This large Chinese Writing Rock sphere is almost 4.25 inches or 105 mm in diameter and hand cut.
This is a very high grade piece of Chinese Writing Rock from Auburn, California.
It is white Feldspar crystals in a black Basalt and is named after its interesting shapes resembling the unique shape of Chinese letters.
It was found when the state was putting in a highway-now most of the rock lays under that highway!
Feldspar is the most common rock-forming mineral and makes up about 60% of the earth's crust. Feldspar occurs in igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. It is usually white or light colored and has a hardness of 6.
Metaphysical Properties: Feldspar is said to assist one in detaching from the old, encouraging unconventional, exciting methods to attain ones goals. It is also said to assist in locating misplaced things!
