This unpolished stone slab of semi precious gemstone material named Copper Rose is 5.1 inches by 3.8 inches and 10 mm thick..

This rough lapidary rock slab weighs .68 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 2 pictures.

It is a very pretty conglomerate red matrix with Native Copper and Felsite pebbles.

This lovely brick orangey red colored stone, with splashes of shiny Native Copper, came from the Calumet & Hecla Mine in Houghton County, Michigan. Formed in 1871, the Calumet & Hecla Mine is an underground copper mine consisting of 96 levels with 16 incline shafts and one vertical shaft named Red Jacket. Mining operations ceased in 1968 following a labor strike.

The camera dulls the shiny copper reflection-but it is very visible to the naked eye! The little black spots are Felsite pebbles. Felsite is a very fine grained volcanic rock containing feldspar and quartz.

Metaphysical Properties: It is believed Native Copper helps with communication. Many people wear copper jewelry believing it helps with arthritis.
