Yellow Fiber Optic Manmade Rough Rock Slab for Cabbing or Knapping
This rough slab is a Cat's Eye chatoyant green manmade Fiber Optic glass material.
Fiber Optics is the thin fibers used in telephone technology, millions of them have been meshed together to form a glass material that cuts easily and takes a great polish!
When cut the material "reflects" an inner light that moves when you move your piece. The light appears as a slit in the center, hence the term "Cat's Eye".
These small slabs are almost 3 inches long by 21 mm wide (more than .75 inch), and 11 mm thick.
They are a lovely shade of yellow, richer than it appears in the picture. Part of it is shown wet to see what it would look like polished.
They weigh about .10 lb. You will not get the exact one pictured, but they are all closely matched and I will choose for you!
