Howlite, which is named for its discoverer Henry How (a Nova Scotia geologist), is one of those minerals that is more famous for imitating another mineral.
Often the other mineral is turquoise because, though Howlite is always white or gray, it can accept dyes fairly easily and is often dyed sky blue. This Howlite is from South Africa.
Metaphysical Properties of Howlite: Howlite is said to decrease selfishness, stress, pain, and rudeness. It increases tact. It is also said to help bones, teeth, calcium levels and leg cramps. And it heightens creativity!
