This coated natural Native Copper stone slab is 8.25 inches by 8 inches and 10 mm or not quite 1/2 inch thick.
This is a beautiful slab of bright and shiny, natural Native Copper in a granititic epidote matrix rock from the Chino Mine in New Mexico.
It has been COATED on one side with a shiny polyurethane coating.
Native Copper, is one of the few metal elements to occur in uncombined form as a natural mineral, although it most commonly occurs in oxidized states and mixed with other elements.
Native copper was an important ore of copper in historic times and was used by pre-historic peoples.
