Petrified Wood Stone Bead Pendant Fossil
This Petrified Wood bead pendant is polished all the way around (it is flat on one side-slightly domed on the other) and drilled with a 3.5 mm hole side to side near the top.
It can be strung on a wire or cord or incorporated into your own bead creation! It is 40 mm long (1.5 inches) by 30 mm wide and 8.5 mm thick.
This is Petrified Sequoia Wood from Saddle Mountain, Washington. This species of Sequoia sempervirens is about 15 million years old.
Tree trunks were buried under several hundred yards of sediment. Over the course of time the wood was replaced by cryptocrystalline quartz, largely chalcedony and jasper. During the replacement process by silica carried in underground waters, even the most minute details of the woody structure was preserved.
Metaphysical Properties: Petrified Wood is a stone of patience and slow and steady growth.
Cabochons are stones cut for jewelry and are measured in mm. One inch is equal to about 25 mm. 13 mm is only about 1/2 inch.

International Shipping terms: We offer Priority Mail or First Class (up to 4 pounds) which is the cheapest but is NOT tracked and can take 2-8 weeks for delivery. Customs, duties, taxes, etc. are the responsibility of the buyer.
