Arizona Tiger Eye or Pietersite Gemstone Polished Stone Slab
This polished on one side stone slab of Arizona Pietersite is 6.25 inches by 4.3 inches and 11 mm or .4 of an inch thick.
It is slabbed on one edge, natural rough on the other 3. This piece was stabilized with a surface resin before grinding.
This rare semiprecious stone material is known as "Arizona Pietersite" because of its superb chatoyant cat's eye effect. It has also been called Arizona Tiger's Eye.
This semiprecious gemstone material is not the same as the original Pietersite found in Africa, or the different material also known as Pietersite found in China. This gemstone material is actually Serpentine and comes in several varieties-from gold to root beer to silver flash, and from green to brown Serpentine.
