Petrified Rainbow Wood Rough Rock Arizona
This is an unpolished petrified wood rough rock chunk that is 6 inches by 2.4 inches wide and 1.14 inches thick.
It weighs 1 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 4 pictures.
It has bark on one side, has been sliced on one face and is natural rough on the other side and back.
It does have super glue on it.
The most important find in the world of Petrified Wood is in Arizona. The "Petrified Forest" was made a National Park in 1962.
In Northern Arizona tree trunks as large as 213 feet long were buried under several hundred yards of sediment. Over the course of time the wood was replaced by cryptocrystalline quartz, largely chalcedony and jasper.
