Beers Mountain Jasper Stone Slab Deschutes Biggs Rough Rock
This lovely Jasper is from the Deschutes/Biggs area of Oregon. I believe it is actually Beer Mountain because of the red tight banding.
The unpolished stone slab is 4.6 inches by 2.7 inches and 7 mm thick.
It weighs .24 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 2 pictures.
This area of jasper finds is famous for several similar brown picture jaspers is near Biggs Junction, Oregon and near the Deschutes River.
Beers Mountain Jasper was discovered, along with the other varieties, a long time ago, but has just recently been rediscovered and mined extensively.
