Ocean Jasper Unpolished Rough Rock
This unpolished rough rock chunk of orbicular Ocean Jasper is 4.66 inches long and 3.37 inches wide and from 1.25 inch to 1 inch at its thickest in the orbicular patterned corner.
This lapidary cabbing rough stone slab weighs .42 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 4 pictures.
There is some natural green druse crystal vugs too!
This is a piece of the original orbicular Ocean Jasper from Madagascar.
Jasper is a type of quartz belonging to the chalcedony family.
This variety is silicified rhyolite flow from off the northwest coast of Madagascar. It can only be seen and collected at low tide. The area has no road, so the material must be transported to civilization by boat.
This type of Jasper was so named because of its location and because it resembles the foam as the water recedes back into the ocean, with its wavy patterns of green-gray, white, cream, beige, brown, pink and maroon.
Metaphysical Properties: Ocean Jasper is believed to teach responsibility and patience, as well as aid in regulating breathing for meditation.
