This lovely rare agate known as Owls Hole Agate is sliced and polished on one side.
The polished collector agate slab is 5.4 inches by 3.25 inches and 5mm thick.
It has some waterline formation in the center.
The Owls Hole Agate comes from Owlshead Mountain near Baker in Death Valley, California. The area has been a part of Death Valley National Park for decades and therefore off limits for collecting.
Owls Hole Agate is known for its sagenite inclusions. Sagenites are blades or needle inclusions and often form in sprays. This lovely natural rock material has golden, white, black and lavender sagenites.
