Pyrite in Agate Stone Slab Unpolished Rough Rock
This unusual semiprecious stone material has lovely golden Pyrite floating in a milky Agate and it comes from Mexico.
This unpolished slab is 4.8 inches by 3.4 inches and 5 mm thick.
It weighs .20 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 3 pictures.
It does have a naturally healed fracture line running across it AND an actual fracture line just above that line on the right side and about1 inch long.
Pyrite is the classic "Fool's Gold". There are other shiny brassy yellow minerals, but pyrite is by far the most common and the most often mistaken for gold.
Agate is a type of chalcedony, usually at least slightly translucent. It forms in concentric layers in a wide variety of colors and textures. Agate has a hardness of about 7 on the Moh's scale and agate cabochons take a great polish. The name "agate" is derived from its occurrence at the Achates River in southwestern Sicily.
Metaphysical Properties Pyrite in Agate: It is believed Pyrite increases vitality and gives one a boost. It is also said to enhance willpower, assist in overcoming bad habits, and established new patterns of health and positive energy. Agates are said to be stabilizing, calming and strengthening.
