This really pretty polished yellow round stump of Petrified Wood piece is 4.28 inches by 2.19 inches and 3.34 inches at its thickest and weighs 1.56 lbs.
This is a complete round with "bark" all the way around, slabbed and polished on one face and natural rough on the bottom.
This specimen is known as “Winslow Gold” for its color yellow and it was found near Winslow, Arizona.
The most important find in the world of Petrified Wood is in Northern Arizona. The majority of the petrified wood here is Araucarioxylon arizonicum, or Araucaria, a prehistoric type of conifer.
This Petrified Wood is found in the Chinle Formation and comes from the Triassic Period around 220 million years ago.
