Rainbow Petrified Wood Large Stone Sphere Rock
This beautiful large hand-cut Petrified Wood gemstone sphere is 3.5 inches or 88 mm in diameter.
It is Petrified Conifer Wood from the West-Central coast of Madagascar.
This sphere has a "flaw" seen in the last picture and the price reflects that-just put that on the bottom and no one will ever see it!
It has a small natural crystal pocket.
This gemstone is the fossilized wood of trees. The Petrified Wood formed when a tree died and was buried by sediments. Minerals in the groundwater then permeated the wood, replacing the original organic matter and turning it to stone.
The main mineral is silica, but trace elements in the silica create a variety of colors.
Petrified Wood is a member of the Chalcedony family.
Metaphysical Properties of Petrified Wood: Petrified Wood is said to be a stone of patience and slow and steady growth.
