This natural unpolished rough rock semiprecious stone slab of Polka Dot Agate is 6.8 inches by 2.7 inches and 11 mm thick.
The unpolished stone slab weighs .50 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 2 pictures.
This lovely pale blue and brown polka dotted semiprecious gemstone is found at the Polka Dot Agate mine near Madras, Oregon.
The Polka Dot Agate mine was first worked by Native Americans and then later by the Priday family of Priday Ranch, and known for the famous Priday Agates. It was believed to be mostly mined out, so it was sold to a professor at Walla Walla College. It was owned by West Coast Mining since 1978. They opened it up and discovered a much larger deposit.
Recently it was sold to John Cooke. The Polka Dot Agate Mine is open to the public. On a limited schedule, you can visit the mine and you can purchase what you find!
