This beautiful dark green polished Malachite piece is 3 inches by 2 inches and 1.6 inches at its thickest.
It is rough on the bottom and not flat.

The semiprecious gemstone material came from the Katanga Mine area in the Congo, Africa.
Malachite is a copper carbonate. It has a hardness between 3.5 and 4. It crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system, and most often forms botryoidal, fibrous, or stalagmitic masses.
This material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits.
This stone's name is from the Greek, malache, - "mallow" in reference to its green leaf color.
Metaphysical Properties: Malachite is a very protective stone, being especially helpful for general protection, travel protection, protection from evil, protection during pregnancy and childbirth, and protection for children. Malachite is also said to be good for enhancing emotional stability and balance in general.
