Product Description
Petrified Wood Polished Rock Stump 8 inch Cherry Creek Nevada
This is a gorgeous polished wood, it is not a round but rather sliced long ways along the truck and polished on one face, natural rough ("bark") on the back.
The natural Petrified Wood is 8 inches and by 6.75 inches wide and 1.9 inches at its thickest.
It weighs 3.3 lbs.
It is from Cherry Creek, Nevada, which is known for pinks, reds, and white woods with well-preserved, although compressed, wood structure. This petrified wood is formed in the Kalamazoo Creek Tuff Formation, during the Oligocene epoch.
The Petrified Wood formed when the tree died and was buried by sediments. Minerals in the groundwater then permeated the wood, replacing the original organic matter and turning it to stone. The main mineral is silica, but trace elements in the silica create a variety of colors.
Metaphysical Properties: Petrified Wood is a stone of patience and slow and steady growth.
