Agate Polished Collector Rock
Lovely banded Agate natural rock nodule with one polished face.
This is from an old collection, self-collected from the 1930's to the 50's. It was unlabeled but is from somewhere in the U.S., most likely some where in California.
This pretty agate is 2.45 inches long by 1.1 inches wide and 1.5 inches thick.
Agate is a form of Chalcedony, or a microcrystalline quartz. The name Agate is derived from its occurrence at the Achates River in southwestern Sicily.
Metaphysical Properties: In general agates are said to be stabilizing and strengthening. They improve memory and increase energy.
