This lovely rare agate stone slab, known as Owls Hole Agate, is not polished and is 5.6 inches by 2.6 inches and 5 mm thick.
It weighs .18 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 3 pictures.
The Owls Hole Agate comes from Owlshead Mountain near Baker in Death Valley, California. The area has been a part of Death Valley National Park for decades and therefore off limits for collecting.
Owls Hole Agate is known for its sagenite inclusions. Sagenites are blades or needle inclusions and often form in sprays. This lovely natural rock material has golden, white, black and lavender sagenites.
