This lovely Stone Canyon Jasper unpolished stone slab is 4.9 inches by 3.5 inches and 7 mm thick.
It weighs .30 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 2 pictures.
Stone Canyon Jasper is a brecciated jasper found near Parkfield, in the central coastal region of California.
Stone Canyon Jasper is found near the San Andreas Fault and the stone is called “brecciated” as it is a rock composed of broken fragments of preexisting minerals that were pulverized by tectonic activity and then later naturally cemented back together via a finer grain matrix.
This jasper is somewhat rare as most of it sources are on privately held lands.
